Client’s Description

Our client is well established Irish Educational Institution that provides education and training courses in the medical field. With a big network inside and outside Ireland, they are looking for Instructional Designers to join their team in Dublin, initially for a programme-based 3-month contract.


Job Description

The Job:


As an Instructional Designer, you will be responsible of developing e-Learning content material and assessments for a selection of modules in a clear, comprehensive and user-friendly form, ensuring they are up-to-date with industry standards and requirements.


You will be working with the academic staff to develop content, while also providing pedagogic advice, guidance and assistance in the use of learning technology. You will also be liaising with e-Learning support teams in partner institutions, to increase staff awareness and exchange ideas and experiences that will benefit the programme.


As an Instructional Designer, you will maintain the e-Learning environment using Moodle, and ensure the implementation of best practice technology enhanced learning strategies through the programme.

Team worker, open to help and be helped, while also able to work independently and get the work done without supervision. This is a busy role, so we are looking for someone flexible, able to think on their feet, and who keeps abreast of developments in learning technologies.


The Experience:


At least 2-3 years’ e-Learning content development or instructional design experience in professional or academic environment, and LMS use (including Moodle).

Relevant degree, ideally with a post-graduate qualification in e-Learning, Instructional Design or related field.

Practical experience in the development and implementation of online and blended learning. The role requires proficiency in MS Office Suite and Articulate, and experience with web development or digital media software (video, audio, HTML5). Previous experience with Adobe Photoshop and Camtasia will be an advantage.


The Salary:

€280-380 hourly rate.

The programme will start in September/October 2017.
