QA Automation Engineer


Irish e-Gamming operator, digital entertainment company which develop their own gaming platform is looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join their QA team. This person must be able to demonstrate success in developing, owning and executing comprehensive sets of automated test plans.

They are looking for a dynamic, skillful and enthusiastic person. They need someone who is driven to improve quality by writing automated tests and ensuring complete code coverage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Mentor other members of the QA team

- Mentor developers to improve their unit test skills to ensure high coverage and resilience

- Develop automated functional UI tests, API/Service level tests, performance and load tests

- Analyze performance test results to detect bottlenecks and non-scalable processes

-Contribute to the development and implementation of an Automation Strategy

-Collaborate with other members of the QA team to automate the manual test processes

Essential Requirements:

-Eligible to work in the Republic of Ireland (European Union citizen or work visa holder)

-Third level qualifications and 5+ years of related professional experience OR equivalent experience

-Experience of testing multi-tier systems; Database, App Servers, Web and Mobile Apps (iOS & Android)

-Experience/understanding of working in an Agile environment

-Familiarity with Jira and TestRail for managing the Agile process and testing-

-Familiarity with Linux environments and SQL-

-Working experience of Selenium or other functional testing tools

-Working experience with continuous integrations tools like Jenkins, Buildbot, TravisCI

-Java, Python, PHP and SQL working experience

Desirable Requirements:

-Exposure to basic JavaScript, CSS and HTML

-Previous experience of the Gaming industry an advantage

-ISTQB or other software testing certifications highly desirable

-Experience of deployment tools like Docker, Ansible or CloudFormation

-Experience with Amazon AWS

-Experience of test driven development frameworks such as Twisted
