They currently has vacancies for Quality Assurance (QA) Leads to report into the Senior QA Lead within the Information Management Technology Division (IMTD) on a contract of indefinite duration.

Working as a QA Lead in the gives you- the opportunity to work within varying Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies requiring a range of QA and testing activities, aided by automation and testing tools to perform Functional and Non-Functional Testing on diverse s, such as;

-Data Analytics projects

-Pan European data collection, analysis and exchange projects

-Operational & IT Supports (HR, Finance, Communications, Infrastructure, Security etc.)

Reporting to the Senior QA Lead and forming part of the QA System Integration Test (SIT) Team, the QA Lead is responsible for the QA lead activities for small to medium size projects in order to validate applications delivered as part of the large portfolio of change. They work closely with the Project team to enable the delivery of quality solutions through collaborating with the necessary technical and business stakeholders both internal and external. 

The new Quality Assurance joiners will have the opportunity to be part of the foundations of the internal QA Team. This can take the form of constructively challenging to bring efficiency through innovation, new testing techniques, automation, new tools and technical skills application.


QA Lead Activity:

Quality Assurance Lead activities such as estimation, testing activities and resource planning and reporting for small to mediums size projects, directing 0-2 QA Analysts as part of a project team.

Quality Assurance Governance in the areas Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Performance Testing, Security Testing and Vendor Management by applying QA techniques and skills to guide others in the pursuit of quality outcomes.

Ensure relevant Stakeholders are advised of progress and/or challenges being encountered, escalating as appropriate so that project progress is maintained in line with commitments.

Provide coaching, mentoring and on-going feedback to team members to share expertise and ensure the necessary skills, competencies and knowledge are being developed in order to ensure that optimal Quality Assurance services are provided so that staff can develop their careers for their good and the good of the Central Bank.

 Project QA Analysis and Reporting:

Responsibility for delivery of QA Project Milestones in line with all QA processes, procedures and standards within the agreed time, cost and coverage boundaries.

Produce management reporting including appropriate test metrics on planning, defects and execution.

Escalate risks and issues to the appropriate level to ensure resolution.

 QA General:

Work closely with the IT Project Manager, Developers, Business Analysts, Business Stakeholders and all project team members in the pursuit of a quality solution delivery.

Full understanding of SDLC Methodologies and where the role of Quality fits in.

Act as a quality champion and take responsibility for ensuring quality is integrated into all facets of the SDLC.


5 years’ + experience in a software quality assurance with 2 years Test lead Role experience.

ISTQB in Software Testing or equivalent;

Diploma/Degree in Information Systems or IT subject or relevant industry qualifications.

Quality Assurance backgrounds in: Financial Industry, Regulatory Returns, Reporting languages Xml/ Xbrl, Calculation & Validation Engines, Business Intelligence and Analytics are desired.
